Enrique Mercader Cidoncha M.D.

Enrique Mercader Cidoncha MD, PhD, FEBS is an esteemed medical professional currently serving as an Associate Professor of Health Sciences at the Facultad de Medicina, Universidad Complutense de Madrid since July 2022. With extensive experience as a specialist in General Surgery and Digestive System at Servicio Madrileño de Salud since September 2005, Enrique has a focused expertise in Endocrine Surgery, particularly in cervical and abdominal areas, as well as obesity treatment. Enrique is also a founding member of the Unidad de Cirugía Endocrino-Metabólica especializada (UCEME) and serves as Secretary of the Endocrine Surgery Section at Asociación Española de Cirujanos since January 2021. Collaborative research efforts at Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Gregorio Marañón center on the molecular mechanisms of tumor progression and dissemination. Enrique holds both a Doctorate in Biomedical Research and a Medical Degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
