Duke Mahr has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Duke began their career as a Guest Service Agent at Shade Hotel, where they focused on maximizing room revenue and provided excellent customer service. Duke then worked at the University of Denver, first as a Front Desk Assistant and later as a Resident Assistant, where they addressed student needs and managed emergency situations.

After that, Duke joined The Little Nell as a Housekeeping Supervisor, rotating through different positions to gain insights and implementing high standards. Duke also worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor at Halcyon, a Hotel in Cherry Creek, where they emphasized cleanliness and sanitization protocols.

Duke also gained experience in the nonprofit sector, serving as a Research and Development Intern at Casa De Paz Colorado. Duke helped reunite separated families by offering support and developing transitional housing models for immigrants released from ICE detention.

In the field of hospitality management, Duke worked at the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management as a Bartender, Assistant Manager, and Culinary Staff and Event Chef. Duke focused on providing exceptional service, training new team members, and ensuring consistency in food preparation.

Duke's most recent experiences include working at various senior living communities. At Solera Senior Living, they supported business operations, served as a Business Office Director, and supervised the housekeeping department. Later, at The Reserve at Lake Austin, Duke was the Business Operations Director, responsible for overseeing financial and accounting functions, as well as assisting the executive team and building the staff.

Currently, Duke Mahr is working as a Finance Analyst at Aspen Hospitality.

Duke Mahr completed their education at various institutions. Duke began their academic journey at Mira Costa High School, where they earned their High School diploma from 2011 to 2017. Duke then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Administration/Management at the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business from 2017 to 2021.

During their undergraduate studies, Duke also had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge through a study abroad semester at the University of Deusto in 2019. Duke immersed himself in Business and Spanish Language education during this period.

Apart from their formal education, Duke obtained several certifications that complement their academic qualifications. Duke earned the WSET® Diploma Level 2 Award in Wines, achieving a distinction, from the WSET — Wine & Spirit Education Trust in May 2021. Additionally, they acquired the WSET® Diploma Level 2 Award in Spirits, also receiving a distinction, from the same institution in April 2021.

Duke holds a Supplier Network Certificate in e-RFP creation and site selection from Cvent, obtained in May 2020. In terms of software proficiency, they earned certifications such as Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint 2016 in May 2018, Microsoft Office Specialist Word 2016 in April 2018, and Microsoft Office Specialist Excel 2016 in October 2017.

Committed to enhancing their expertise in the hospitality industry, Duke obtained certifications in various areas. These include the CGSP (Certified Guest Service Professional) - Golden Opportunities from AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute in January 2017, Certified in Hotel Industry Analytics from STR in April 2020, ServSafe Manager from the National Restaurant Association in January 2019, Training for Intervention Procedures - Certified TiPS Bartender from Tips Alcohol in June 2019, and ServSafe Alcohol Advanced Certification from the National Restaurant Association in February 2019.
