Michael Carver joins Aspen Leadership Group as a Search Consultant connecting fundraising and non-profit professionals with opportunities to more fully realize their capacity to enable positive change in the world.
Michael comes to ALG with 17 years of experience in the higher-education advancement field. Most recently he served as a Senior Associate Director of Development at the Johns Hopkins University. There he was engaged in efforts to advance world-changing ideas by connecting visionary donors with talented faculty and students. He was a part of the team at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences that helped surpass their $550 million Rising to the Challenge campaign goal as part of the larger $6 billion University-wide effort. He was also involved in growing the leadership and philanthropic capacity of several volunteer advisory boards.
Prior to Johns Hopkins, Michael held roles at public higher-education institutions, St. Mary’s College of Maryland and the University of Baltimore. At St. Mary’s College he led the annual giving team to expand engagement. He also worked closely with the foundation board in their efforts to maximize investment strategies. At the University of Baltimore, he focused on annual giving and advancement operations.
Michael is a life-long Maryland resident and understands the vital role non-profit and education organizations play in building a more vibrant and healthy society.
