Ethan Yixun Xu

Ethan Yixun Xu has a strong background in the field of bioinformatics, with extensive experience in both research and leadership roles. Their most recent position was as the VP of Bioinformatics at Aspen Neuroscience, Inc., starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the VP, Head of Data Science at Excision BioTherapeutics from May 2021 to October 2022.

From June 2016 to May 2021, Ethan held the role of Director, Translational Genomics at Sanofi Genzyme. Before that, they worked as the Research Associate Director at Infinity Pharmaceuticals from an unknown start date to 2016.

Ethan began their career at Merck in 2004, where they served as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist until 2012. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Fudan University. Additionally, Ethan has pursued studies in Biochemistry at The Ohio State University. Ethan Yixun completed their secondary education at Hangzhou No.2 High School. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained "Introduction to Data Science" from Coursera in October 2014 and "Data Analysis for Genomics (HarvardX PH525)" from edX in July 2014.
