Mark Rentschler has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mark is the Founding CEO of Aspero Medical, Inc., a company focused on advancing endoscopy and intraluminal surgery. Mark also holds a senior membership at the National Academy of Inventors.
In addition, Mark has been involved in the field of medical technology and robotics as the Principal Investigator at the Advanced Medical Technologies Laboratory. Mark has also worked as a director of operations and senior engineer at Virtual Incision Corp.
Mark has an extensive academic background, holding various positions at the University of Colorado Boulder. Mark has served as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Founding Director of the Graduate Design Program, and Chair of the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering, among other roles.
Prior to their academic career, Mark worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and held graduate fellowships at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mark also served as a Research Associate at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
Mark Rentschler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mark also earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, Mark has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
