Buz Stepanek, PMP, CSM

Buz Stepanek has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Buz is currently working as a Senior Consultant - Project & Program Management at Aspirent since September 2021. In their previous role as a Senior Agile Project Manager at TekPartners from June 2020 to September 2021, they were responsible for planning and developing Peoplesoft Application customization for Mecklenburg County. Buz used a blend of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, working closely with the HR Project Manager to ensure a seamless project roll-out.

Prior to that, Buz served as the Project Management Officer - PMO at Dynamicweb NA from June 2015 to March 2020. During their tenure, they established and operated the Project Management Office, creating processes and tools to manage eCommerce website development projects. Buz also worked as a Senior Project Manager for eCommerce website development and deployment.

Before joining Dynamicweb NA, Buz was associated with IBM for a significant period. From January 2006 to May 2015, they served as the Deployment Portfolio Manager, acting as a single point of contact for CHQ application owners and providing project progress analysis and resource issue focus. Additionally, Buz worked as a Solution Project Manager from January 2000 to January 2006, successfully managing multiple complex Web Infrastructure deployment projects. Lastly, they served as a Product Line Manager from January 1995 to January 2000, managing a product line of PC to Midrange Adapters.

Buz's work experience demonstrates their expertise in project management, Agile methodologies, and overseeing IT needs on a global scale.

Buz Stepanek graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, completing their studies from 1981 to 1985. In terms of additional certifications, Buz obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2003. Buz also acquired the Certified SAFe® 6 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in April 2023, and the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in February 2020. Lastly, Buz obtained two Microsoft certifications: Azure Fundamentals and Azure Data Fundamentals, both from Microsoft, in March 2023.
