Simon Gimpel

Simon Gimpel is the CTO and founder of aSR advanced Simulated Reality, a position held since September 2019. Previously, Simon worked as an Entwicklungsingenieur at Altran from February 2017 to August 2019, where responsibilities included multi-domain simulation, methods development, and virtual testing at Porsche AG. Early career experience includes serving as an Entwicklungsingenieur Fahrwerk for TU Darmstadt Racing Team e.V. from September 2012 to December 2013, focusing on the development and manufacturing of a CFK-aluminum hybrid rim and sizing various CFK components. Simon Gimpel holds a Master of Science degree in Maschinenbau from Technische Universität Darmstadt and completed a semester abroad in mechanical engineering at the University at Buffalo in 2014.
