Mike Girouard

Mike Girouard is the CEO and President of ASR Systems. Mike has also served as the CEO and President of Brain Sentinel, Inc., a company they co-founded in April 2009.

Girouard has extensive experience in the medical field, having Invented a long-term wearable device for detection and characterization of seizure events. Mike also successfully built a business around the medical device to deliver objective data to help physicians better manage a person’s seizures.

Under Girouard’s leadership, Brain Sentinel submitted thousands of pages of clinical study data, and other tests required for an FDA de novo grant, resulting in the company receiving the de novo grant. In addition, Brain Sentinel obtained a Class II CE mark and established an international office in Austria.

Girouard has also served as a Board Member for the Epilepsy Foundation of Central & South Texas.

Mike Girouard completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Linfield University, followed by a Bachelor of Science at Oregon State University in General Science / Clinical Dietetics.
