Laura Webber has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and companies.

Laura started their career in 2008 as a Computer Science Teacher at Roland Park Country School, where they taught introductory and intermediate computer science classes and designed professional development programs.

In 2013, they joined Marin Academy as a Computer Science Teacher and Learning Technology Coordinator, where they taught Java and JavaScript classes and managed operations for a hybrid online/face-to-face high school learning program.

From 2016 to 2020, Laura worked at Spirit Rock - An Insight Meditation Center as a Governance Manager & Executive Administrator. In this role, they redesigned and implemented nonprofit board management processes and executed cross-functional projects, such as the 7-year Strategic Plan and Diversity and Inclusion initiative.

In 2017, Laura became a Computer Science Curriculum Consultant at KooltechEdu, IRIS. Laura developed computer science lessons for Chinese students and created teacher training materials. Laura also taught computer science at a children's camp in Qingdao.

From 2020 to 2021, Laura worked at tray.io as a Customer Success Engineer and later as a Principal Customer Success Engineer. In these roles, they provided troubleshooting and support for an API integration platform, developed customer prototypes, and implemented an e-learning curriculum.

In 2021, Laura joined Promineo Tech as an Adjunct Instructor - Software Engineering. Laura served as a live instructor for their Front-End Development Bootcamp, teaching topics like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Most recently, Laura started working at Hightouch in 2021 as a Solutions Architect and later as a Principal Customer Success Engineer. In these roles, they built data engineering pipelines, debugged API integrations, trained new hires, and scaled the CSE team's protocols.

Laura will be joining AssemblyAI in June 2023 as a Developer Advocate.

Laura Webber holds a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Michigan. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy at SUNY Geneseo. In terms of additional certifications, Laura obtained the following: Triplebyte Certification in Front End, Back End, Distributed Computing, and React from Triplebyte in March 2023, Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2021, Microsoft Certified: Azure Cloud certification from Microsoft in October 2020, and a Software Engineering certification from Thinkful in June 2020.
