Brier Dodge

Brier Dodge has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Starting in 2007, they worked as a Public Affairs Developmental Student at Ontario Power Generation before moving on to roles such as a Ski Coach at Mt. Pakenham and a Customer Service Representative at Carleton University.

In 2008, they held a Summer Student position at BreconRidge.

From 2009 to 2011, they managed the Carleton Tennis Centre and the Tony Milo Tennis Academy.

In 2010, they joined Senators Sports & Entertainment as part of the Game Day Promotions and Marketing team, where they coordinated promotions and events to support the Ottawa Senators.

In 2011, Brier Dodge transitioned to Metroland Media (TorStar) and worked as a Reporter/Photographer for various publications until 2018.

Afterward, they joined Assent as a Content Writer, creating marketing content focused on compliance, social responsibility, and vendor management. Over time, they assumed more responsibilities, becoming a Manager, leading a team of six employees.

Following that, they served as an Agile Marketing Product Owner, coordinating marketing strategies and managing projects for a specific niche.

Their most recent role at Assent was as a Communications Manager, where they played a key role in managing communications for the company.

Currently, they hold the position of Senior Communications Manager at the same company.

Brier Dodge pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) degree at Carleton University from 2006 to 2010. During this time, they also completed a minor in Geography. In 2008, they participated in the Explore program at Université Sainte-Anne, focusing on French as a Second Language. After completing their degree, they continued their education at La Cite Collegiale in 2010, studying Fast Track French (Intensive) on a part-time basis for a year.

In addition to their formal education, Brier Dodge obtained the ICAgile Certified Professional - Agility in Marketing (ICP-MKG) certification from ICAgile in October 2020.
