Sam Proctor

Sam Proctor is an experienced data science and engineering professional with a robust background in technical consultancy and algorithm development. Currently serving as the Data Science Lead at Asset Integrity Engineering since August 2022, Sam focuses on automating tasks and managing data extraction from engineering silos. Prior to this, Sam founded Proctor Corporation, delivering data capture and visualization applications from March 2013 to January 2023. Sam's experience also includes roles at the Wellcome Sanger Institute as an ML/Data Engineer, where responsibilities included designing data pipelines for Covid-19 surveillance, and as Head of Data Science at Cogniflare, deploying machine learning models in Google Cloud. Additional key positions were held at Rolls-Royce as a Big Data Technical Specialist Consultant and at Optimized Systems and Solutions as a Senior Analytical Engineer. Sam also founded Proctor Aerospace Ltd to commercialize UAV technology. Educational qualifications include a BEng in AeroMechanical Systems Engineering and an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering from Cranfield University, along with a PhD in Computer Engineering from The University of Manchester.
