Seyed Mohammad Parvasi

Seyed Mohammad Parvasi, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles. Seyed Mohammad currently serves as the Director of Machine Learning at AssetWatch® since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Applied Machine Learning Scientist at CognitiveScale from July 2021 to October 2022. Seyed also had experience as a Data Scientist at National Oilwell Varco from June 2019 to July 2021, and as a Physics Based Simulation Engineer at Nabors Industries from June 2017 to June 2019. Seyed Mohammad started their career in academia, working as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Houston from January to June 2017, and as a Ph.D Research Assistant from January 2013 to December 2016. Seyed also briefly served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Islamic Azad University (IAU) in 2012. Seyed Mohammad began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Acoustics Lab of Iran University of Science and Technology from September 2009 to December 2011. Additionally, Seyed worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Mazandaran Wood & Paper Ind. in 2007.

Seyed Mohammad Parvasi, Ph.D. earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Solid Mechanics) from Isfahan University of Technology in 2009. Seyed Mohammad then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Vibration/Control) from Iran University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2011. In 2016, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston. In addition to their degrees, they received certifications in the Future Faculty Program and Subsea Engineering from the University of Houston in 2015 and 2014, respectively.
