Soren Nelson

Soren Nelson is an experienced professional in government affairs and relations, currently serving as a State Relations Advocate II at the Association of California Water Agencies since December 2018. Previous roles include Regulatory Advocate and Legislative Analyst at the same organization, as well as Government Affairs Coordinator at the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation. Soren has also worked as a Political Advertising Planner at DIRECTV and a Meeting Facilitator at Nelson Facilitation, LLC. Early experience includes positions at the University of California San Diego, where Soren was President of the Revelle College Council and Student Body President, along with roles such as Policy Fellow at the California Department of Water Resources and Associated Students Senator. Soren holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from UC San Diego, earned in 2015.
