Richard Deford

Richard DeFord, M.Div., BCC/BCPC, currently serves as the Manager of Marketing and Spiritual Care at Fitzgibbon Hospital, overseeing marketing communications for the hospital and its affiliated clinics since February 2013. In addition to this role, Richard provides spiritual care as a Chaplain/Spiritual Counselor and has been serving in this capacity since October 2016. As a Board Certified Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor, Richard also administers the certification process for new chaplains with the Association of Certified Christian Chaplains, while actively contributing as the Associate Pastor of Outreach and Missions at Katy Park Baptist Church since January 2008. Richard's diverse background includes positions in public relations, IT management, and pastoral leadership, complemented by a strong educational foundation in theology and clinical pastoral training.
