Scott Cochran

Scott Cochran serves as the President of Spartanburg Methodist College since November 2015. Cochran is also a Fellow at Liberty Fellowship, an initiative linked to the Aspen Institute, and holds a position on the AGB Council of Presidents, focusing on empowering governing boards in higher education. Recent leadership roles include Chair of the South Carolina Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission and previous board memberships, including the United Way of the Piedmont and the National Association of Independent Colleges & Universities. Cochran holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a BA in Economics from Wofford College.
