Emily VanVleck is a skilled professional with a diverse background in advocacy, public service, and the airline industry. Currently serving as a Steering Committee Member for the UN DCG Civil Society Youth Representative Steering Committee and as a Base Council Representative for the Association of Professional Flight Attendants since early 2023, Emily passionately advocates for the rights of NYC-based flight attendants and engages members in contract negotiations. With experience as a Flight Attendant at American Airlines since 2014, Emily has also held roles as a District Office Intern for Assemblywoman Maritza Davila, an Edward I. Koch Fellow in Public Service, and an Advocacy/UN Intern. Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from The City College of New York.
