Catherine Ruhl, DNP, CNM has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Catherine began their career as an Associate Director of Women's Health at the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) in 2005. Catherine later became the Director of Women's Health Programs, where they were responsible for developing educational products and programs for obstetric and women's health nurses. During their time at AWHONN, Catherine also collaborated with other organizations to promote women's health advanced nursing practice and participated in national public health initiatives. In 2015, they joined Presbyterian Healthcare Services as a Certified Nurse-Midwife.
Catherine Ruhl, DNP, CNM, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from The University of Kansas between 1978 and 1982. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Nurse Midwife/Nursing Midwifery at the University of Illinois at Chicago - Graduate College from 1986 to 1988. In 2017, Catherine Ruhl entered Frontier Nursing University to earn their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing Science, which they completed in 2019.
