Jia Hao Cheong is a Co-Founder of Qandela, a company they joined in 2018. Prior to that, they worked at the Institute of Microelectronics as a Scientist/Senior Research Engineer since 2009. During their time there, they achieved notable accomplishments, such as being one of the honorees in the regional MIT Technology Review TR35 Innovators Under 35 Asia competition in 2015. Jia Hao also led the IC team that won a gold prize paper in the Chip Design Competition of the International Symposium of Integrated Circuits (ISIC) in 2011.
Jia Hao Cheong earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2005. Jia Hao then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the same field at the same university, completing it in 2009.
