Jun J. Nakano

Jun J. Nakano is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the field of gene therapies. Currently serving as Senior Scientist and Team Lead for Capsid Discovery at Astellas Gene Therapies since October 2021, Nakano has previously held multiple roles at Astellas Pharma from April 2016 to October 2023, including Manager, Senior Research Scientist, and Associate Manager. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree from UCLA, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from The University of Tokyo, and a Bachelor of Science in MCDB from UCLA.
