Don Rhodes has a comprehensive work experience spanning over three decades. Don began their career as a Flight Hardware Test Engineer at TRW Defense & Space Systems Group in 1985. Don then worked as an Electronics Engineer at Thermo Electron from 1988 to 1991. From 1991 to 1995, they served as a Sr. Design Engineer at II Morrow/UPS before joining InFocus Corp as a Principal Engineer, where they worked for over a decade.
In 2006, Rhodes held the role of Director of Systems Engineering and Test at Clarity Visual Systems before being promoted to Director of Engineering at Planar Systems later in the same year. Don managed the Home Theater Business unit and led the product architecture for flat panel products.
Their career then shifted towards field applications engineering, starting with their role as an MTS Field Applications Engineer at National Semiconductor from 2007 to 2011. Don provided technical support for power and high-speed data path designs. Rhodes then worked at Texas Instruments as a Principal Field Applications Engineer from 2011 to 2017.
Since 2017, they have been working at Rohm Semiconductor as an MTS Field Application Engineer/Business Development Manager. In this role, they have been responsible for managing business development with field applications, pre and post-sales support, and design-in support for major customers in Western North America, with a focus on power devices.
Currently, Rhodes is employed at Astera Labs as a Strategic Account Manager/FAE, starting from June 2021.
Don Rhodes completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics from Chapman University in 1991.
