Clint Grant

Director, Healthy Community Design at ASTHO

Clint Grant has had a diverse work experience. Clint is currently serving as the Director of Healthy Community Design for the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials. Prior to this, they worked at Mecklenburg County, where they first held the position of Built Environment & Active Living Program Supervisor from 2019 to 2023. Clint then worked as an Information Coordinator with the Office of Policy & Prevention from 2015 to 2019. Before that, Clint worked at Anuvia Prevention & Recovery Center as a Prevention Coordinator from 2015 to 2015, and as a Prevention Specialist I and II from 2011 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at UNC Charlotte from 2010 to 2011 and as a Graduate Intern at the IDEAs Center from 2010 to 2010.

Clint Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. Clint then pursued a Master of Science degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2009 to 2011. Clint Grant has also received additional certifications including Accreditation from the Congress for the New Urbanism, which they obtained in 2023, and various certifications related to alcohol and drug education, prevention consulting, and health education obtained between 2012 and 2015.
