Mahdi Jamshidinia

Mahdi Jamshidinia currently serves as a Senior Lead in Data Strategy and Solutions, as well as a Senior Additive Manufacturing R&D Manager at the ASTM Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence and ASTM International, roles held since July 2019. Prior experience includes positions at GE Additive as a Staff Engineer and Advanced Lead Engineer, and at EWI as an Applications Engineer specializing in Additive Manufacturing, where key responsibilities included leading multi-disciplinary proposals and supervising the laser powder bed fusion group. Mahdi's research background includes a Graduate Research Assistant role at Southern Methodist University, coordinating an Additive Manufacturing Lab and managing the operation of an EB-PBF machine. Early career experience includes inspections and supervision roles at SGS and TubiTak Inspection & Consulting Engineering Co. Mahdi holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Materials Science, both from Southern Methodist University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from the University of Tehran.
