Ben Hackney

Ben Hackney has a diverse work experience in the football industry. Ben began their career as an intern at the Manchester United Foundation in 2013. Later that year, they joined Crystal Palace Football Club as a First Team Scout. In 2014, they moved to Barnsley FC, where they held various roles, including Senior Player Recruitment Analyst and Head of First Team Talent Identification. In 2019, Hackney joined Aston Villa Football Club as a First Team Recruitment Analyst, eventually transitioning to the role of First Team Recruitment & Market Analyst. Ben currently serves as the Head of Scouting Operations at Aston Villa.

Ben Hackney attended Marple Hall School from 2004 to 2009. Ben then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Exercise, Physical Activity & Health from The University of Salford, completing their studies from 2011 to 2014.
