Bat-Erdene Jugder, MD., PhD, serves as a Senior Scientist in Bioscience Immunology at AstraZeneca since June 2023, focusing on early discovery immunology programs targeting multiple autoimmune diseases through various modalities. Previously, Bat-Erdene was the Lead Immunology Scientist at Synlogic for IBD drug discovery and held significant roles at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where research concentrated on gut microbiome interactions, regulatory T cell dysregulation in food allergies, and host-microbe dynamics. Bat-Erdene has contributed as a scientific adviser for UBIC Consulting and as an adjunct professor at Emmanuel College, emphasizing microbiology and molecular biology techniques.
