Ben Whitehurst

Ben Whitehurst is an experienced scientist with a strong background in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca since June 2019, Ben has previously held roles as Senior Scientist at both Sosei Heptares and Heptares, as well as Research Scientist. Prior experience includes a significant tenure as a PhD Student at GlaxoSmithKline. Academically, Ben Whitehurst holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde. Early education was completed at Brentwood School.
