Mike Orr

Mike Orr, PhD, DABT, is an experienced toxicologist currently serving as Director of Project Toxicology for Cardiovascular and Renal Metabolism Safety at AstraZeneca. Additionally, Mike operates as an independent consultant through Orr Nonclinical Consulting LLC and has held the position of Principal Consultant at PAREXEL. Previously, Mike worked at the FDA where roles included Branch Chief of Toxicology and Senior Reviewer in both the Office of Clinical Pharmacology and the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). Earlier in their career, Mike was the Director of Toxicogenomics at Gene Logic. Mike earned a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia and a BS in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University.
