Pete Matthews

Pete Matthews is an accomplished leader in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries, currently serving as General Manager for UK Aseptic Operations at AstraZeneca since November 2014. With a comprehensive background in supply chain management and sterile production, Pete oversees a department of approximately 700 employees across six production facilities, holding end-to-end manufacturing accountability for significant oncology and CVRM brands such as Zoladex. Pete's leadership roles have encompassed responsibilities for extensive supply chain networks and external partnerships, demonstrating a commitment to revenue growth, operational excellence, and compliance with stringent regulatory standards. Prior to AstraZeneca, Pete held several positions at Bentley Motors, including Programme Manager and Supply Chain Planning Manager, where expertise in supply chain strategies and logistics was developed. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the University of Warwick and a BA in Business Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
