Ramy Elgendy

Ramy Elgendy is an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, where Ramy leads initiatives in High-Throughput Transcriptomics and Pharmaco-Transcriptomics within the Centre of Genomics Research, focusing on Next-Generation Sequencing applications for pharmaceutical and drug discovery. Prior to this role, Ramy was a Senior Scientist in AstraZeneca's Translational Genomics department, where Ramy established a wet-lab capability for transcriptomics data. Ramy's previous experience includes positions as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at Uppsala University, where Ramy developed drug-gene association maps and conducted large-scale transcriptomic profiling. Ramy also obtained a Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences with a focus on Pharmacogenomics from Università degli Studi di Padova, complemented by earlier academic qualifications in Pharmacology and Veterinary Sciences from Suez Canal University.
