Thomas Lundbäck

Thomas Lundbäck is a seasoned professional in the field of mechanistic biology and profiling, currently serving as Senior Director at AstraZeneca since October 2016. In this role, Thomas leads the Mechanistic Biology & Profiling team and oversees various projects across multiple therapeutic areas, including Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic diseases. Thomas also holds chairman positions at the Chemical Biology Consortium Sweden and the Chemical Biology and Genome Engineering platform, both aimed at advancing chemical biology research in Sweden. As an Associate Editor for ASSAY Drug Development Technologies, Thomas contributes to the dissemination of vital advancements in early-stage drug discovery. With previous key roles, including Senior Scientist and Industry Liaison Office member, Thomas has built a robust career supported by a strong educational foundation in biophysical chemistry and chemical engineering from prestigious institutions.
