Hao-En (Julian) Chang has a diverse work experience in various fields. Hao-En (Julian) currently works as a Propulsion Engineer for Astrobotic, where they focus on landers and spacecraft. Prior to this, they worked at tiSPACE as a Satellite Systems Engineer, specializing in propulsion and thermal systems. Hao-En (Julian) was responsible for designing and selecting components for the thruster system.
Before joining tiSPACE, Hao-En worked at NCSIST as an Aerospace Engineer. Here, they performed fluid and thermal analysis on turbofan engines, contributed to the development of stealth capabilities, and conducted radiative heat transfer modeling.
Hao-En also has experience working as a researcher at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, where they investigated the electrical properties of flames and designed measurement devices. Additionally, they had a research project as a Propulsion Engineer at Nagoya University.
Hao-En (Julian) has also held positions as a substitute civilian serviceman for the Fire Department of New Taipei City Government, a PHP Developer at WebGene, and an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Southern California.
In terms of internships, Hao-En worked as a Summer Intern in Consulting at IBM, focusing on digital banking and improving nursing homes through the integration of cloud services and wearable devices. Hao-En (Julian) also gained experience as a Research Development Intern at Gintech Energy Corp, where they conducted research on solar cell manufacturing and achieved significant improvements in efficiency.
Hao-En (Julian) Chang holds a Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School, which they obtained from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Physics at the University of Southern California from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their academic qualifications, Chang has also obtained two additional certifications. In 2018, they became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-1) through the Fire Department, New Taipei City Government. Later, in 2022, they received the STK Level 1 Certification from AGI (Analytical Graphics, Inc.).
