Mission Planning Engineer at Astrobotic Technology

Olivia Gustafson has a diverse work experience. Olivia started their career in 2013 as a Summer Camp Counselor at the Town of Halfmoon Recreation Department. In 2016, they worked as a Sales Associate at EXPRESS. From 2017 to 2018, Olivia held various roles at the University at Buffalo, including Undergraduate Research Assistant and Student Chapter Secretary at ASME. Olivia also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the UB Bio-Inspired Propulsion and Vortex Laboratory, where they contributed to the construction of a UAV wing prototype. In 2018, Olivia interned as a Test Engineer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. From 2017 to 2019, they took on multiple responsibilities at the University at Buffalo Nanosatellite Laboratory, including Program Manager, Lead Test Engineer, and Structures & Thermal Subsystem Member. Olivia continued their engineering career at ASRC Federal, where they worked as a Satellite Engineer from 2019 to 2022. Olivia'sresponsibilities included Attitude Determination & Control, Power, and Thermal Spacecraft Engineering. Currently, Olivia is a Mission Planning Engineer at Astrobotic, a position they have held since 2022.

Olivia Gustafson's education history begins in 2011 when they attended Shenendehowa High School, where they obtained an Advanced Regents Diploma. In 2015, they briefly attended Hudson Valley Community College, studying Engineering Science. Afterward, from 2016 to 2019, Olivia attended the University at Buffalo, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
