Scott Yara

Scott Yara's work experience includes their current role as the Managing Director at Sutter Hill Ventures, where they have been working since November 2020. Prior to that, they were a Team Member at Astronomer starting from April 2020. Scott co-founded and served as the Chairman of Wevr since August 2010, and co-founded Nomic in December 2010. From April 2013 to April 2020, Scott worked at Pivotal Software, Inc. in various roles such as SVP Products, President, and Board Member. Before that, they were the SVP Products at EMC from July 2010 to April 2013. Scott was also a co-founder of Greenplum, where they served in various roles, including founding CEO, President, and Board Member from March 2000 to July 2010. Scott began their career at Sandpiper Networks, Inc. as the VP Marketing from August 1997 to March 2000.

Scott Yara attended UCLA from 1991 to 1995, although the degree earned and field of study are not specified. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained Astronomer Certification for Apache Airflow Fundamentals from Astronomer in June 2022. Scott also received Astronomer Certification for DAG Authoring for Apache Airflow from the same institution in July 2022.
