Andrew Rivera

Andrew Rivera is currently a Software Engineer at Asurity. Andrew has previous experience as a software engineer at Walmart Labs, REI Systems, and Bluestem Brands, Inc. In their current role, they are responsible for developing and extending WARP using AngularJS and .NET Core for the supporting microservices. Andrew has also participated in design, code review, requirement gathering and refining sessions with business and carrier partners. In addition, they have increased unit test coverage and refactored across suite of microservices to provide more stable and readable code while reducing technical debt. Andrew has also helped break up monolithic api into a suite of microservices while converting to .NET Core. Furthermore, they have worked with internal tools to build out CI/CD pipeline for WARP team to support release artifact creation, deployments. Lastly, they introduced Kafka to multiple apis to provide detailed reporting and data generation on key business initiatives.

Andrew Rivera has a Bachelor's Degree in German Studies and Theology from University of Portland. Andrew also has a Web Development certification from Coding Dojo.

Andrew Rivera reports to David Greenwood, Chief Technology Officer. They are on a team with Hailu Gebremenfes - Senior Software Engineer, Eric Krichinsky - Network Engineer, and Chris Cox - Senior Software Engineer.
