Evalds Urtans

Evalds Urtans has worked in the software engineering industry since 2005. Evalds began their career as a Programmer at RIX Technologies in 2005. In 2006, they worked as a Programmer at Tilde, SIA. In 2009, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Asketic Riga and Co-Founder and Game Developer at 2E Games. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ChromSword. Since 2018, they have been the CEO and CTO at asya.ai, where they have been analyzing sales and customer service calls, detecting emotion tone of voice, biometric verification, content, and automatically detecting problematic calls. In 2022, they will become the CEO and CTO at Pitch Patterns, where they will be working on a second product for SIA ASYA.

Evalds Urtans has a diverse educational background. Evalds obtained a BSc Hons in Games Development from the University of South Wales in 2006-2009. Evalds then attended Agenskalna Valsts Gimnazija from 2004-2006. In 2013-2015, they earned an MSc in Intelligent Robotic Systems from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University). Currently, they are pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the same university. Evalds is also an EIT Digital Alumni, studying Big Data and Data Science.
