James Gage

Dr. Gage has oversight responsibility for Asymchem R&D as well as all company operations with a technical dimension. Dr. Gage has 29 years of experience in process chemistry, pharmaceutical development, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Asymchem in 2006, Dr. Gage worked at Pfizer and Pfizer legacy companies in roles of increasing scientific and managerial responsibility, supporting programs from preclinical development to commercial life-cycle management and both domestic and foreign manufacturing facilities. At Asymchem, he has focused on increasing the extent and depth of the company’s pharma development and manufacturing capabilities. He has a keen interest in innovation as a lever to improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of pharma manufacturing efforts and engages in external research collaborations towards this end. He is the author in over 40 research papers and patents. Dr. Gage earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Calvin College, Michigan, USA, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry with Professor David Evans at Harvard University in 1991.
