Gary Matthews

Gary Matthews is an experienced aerospace professional with expertise in optical systems and astrophysics. Currently serving as a Roman Space Telescope Payload Integration and Test Engineer at Aerodyne Industries LLC, Gary also continues roles as a JWST AI&T Engineer at ATA AEROSPACE, LLC, and President of Telescope Technologies, LLC, which specializes in telescope design and optical system integration. With a strong background as the Director of Universe Exploration at Harris Corporation, Gary has overseen significant space and ground-based astrophysics programs, including the James Webb Space Telescope and upcoming mirror technologies. Previous positions include leadership roles at ITT Exelis and Eastman Kodak, where responsibilities encompassed management of major astrophysics projects and engineering for high-resolution mirror assemblies. Gary holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.
