Alex Tong

Alex Tong has extensive work experience in the testing industry and professional credentials for surveyors. Alex is currently the Conference Chairman for the Association of Test Publishers Asia Division (A-ATP) since 2023. Alex previously served as the Vice President of Business Development at ATA Online starting in 2005. In 2018, Alex became the Secretary of Asia ATP, the Asian Division of the Association of Test Publishers (ATP), after stepping down from the position of Chair. Alex was also a Board Member and Chairman of ATP from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, Alex worked as the General Manager for RICS in the Asia Pacific region, managing professional credentials for surveyors and forming relationships with various Asian governments and influence groups. Alex also held the position of Executive Director of Business Development at Prometric and was the Managing Director of NCS Hong Kong, a joint venture company between NCS and Worldneed Computer Consultants (WCC).

Alex Tong has a strong education history in the field of education. Alex completed their Teaching Qualification from Hong Kong Teachers College in 1982. Alex later pursued a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Nottingham, which they completed in 1986. Following this, they furthered their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Philosophy degree in Education in 1991. In 2003, they pursued an Executive MBA in Business Administration at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
