Smita Jagtap

Smita Jagtap is a highly experienced professional in the field of translational research, currently serving as the Translational Research Lead at Atalanta Therapeutics since November 2021. Prior roles include Scientist II at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc., Senior Scientist at Cyprotex, and Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Jagtap also held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, Research Scientist at PIRAMAL LIFE SCIENCES (UK) LIMITED, and Research Associate at the University of Mumbai. Jagtap holds a PhD in Stem Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Cologne and a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Additionally, Jagtap completed professional education at MIT in late 2022.
