Laurence Hanes Gamelin

Laurence Hanes Gamelin has a diverse work experience in the field of drug safety and pharmacovigilance. Starting in 2007, Laurence worked as an International Project Manager at the International Research Institute Servier. In 2010, they joined Amgen as a Senior Medical Scientist and later became a Medical Director and Global Safety Officer. In 2015, Laurence moved to Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Executive Director of Drug Safety. Currently, they hold the position of VP Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance at Atara Biotherapeutics, starting in 2017.

Laurence Hanes Gamelin obtained a Certificate in U.S. Health Care System from UCLA in 2012. They also earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Medical School France, and a PhD in Toxicology from University Hospital and National Museum of Natural History in Paris, France. Additionally, they have certifications in MD from France and PhD from Paris University and National Museum of Natural History.
