Kaitlyn Selmer has a diverse range of work experience in the scientific field. Kaitlyn most recently worked as a Senior Associate Scientist at Atavistik Bio starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they were an Associate Scientist at Agios Pharmaceuticals from March 2019 to July 2022. Before that, they worked as a Biologist at USDA-ARS from January 2015 to February 2019. Kaitlyn also served as a Faculty Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from January 2013 to January 2015. In addition, they have experience as a Graduate Assistant at the NSF NERU REU Program in June to August 2012, a NASA and UNH Research & Discover Fellow at the University of New Hampshire from August 2010 to August 2012, and a Senior Lab Technician at the UNH Stable Isotope Laboratory from April 2008 to April 2011. Kaitlyn also had internships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in June to August 2010 and at the University of New Hampshire in June to August 2009. Kaitlyn started their research career as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at the University of New Hampshire in June to August 2008.
Kaitlyn Selmer completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, with a focus on Ecosystems, at the University of New Hampshire. Kaitlyn attended the university from 2006 to 2010. Afterward, Kaitlyn pursued a Master of Science degree in Earth Sciences, specializing in Geochemical Systems, at the same university. Kaitlyn completed their master's program from 2010 to 2012.
