Christopher Edel

Christopher Edel has extensive work experience in the financial industry, primarily in roles related to credit management and relationship management. Christopher started their career at Communities Economic Development Fund in 1996, working as a Business Loans Consultant. In 1998, they joined ATB Financial as an Account Manager and later moved on to become a Relationship Manager. Christopher then progressed to the position of Business Credit Manager and subsequently Senior Credit Manager SME. From 2010 to 2012, Christopher served as an Associate Director in the Energy department at ATB Financial. Christopher then became the Director of Energy before assuming their current role as the Managing Director of Corporate Credit in May 2015.

Christopher Edel completed their B. Comm degree in Finance & General Business at the University of Saskatchewan from 1992 to 1996. Later on, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen's University, attending from 2014 to 2015. In 2011, they undertook an evaluation program for Canadian Oil and Gas Properties at the University of Calgary, though they did not receive a degree from this course. Additionally, they obtained a Credit Risk Certification from The Risk Management Association in October 2016.
