Akshay D. Sonawane

Akshay D. Sonawane has recently started working as a Research Scientist at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) since October 2021. Previously, they served as a Junior Research Fellow at the Fruits and Vegetables Technology Division, Defence Food Research Laboratory, DRDO, Mysore from November 2020 to April 2021.

Akshay D. Sonawane's education history is as follows:

Akshay is currently pursuing a Doctor of Engineering (PhD) degree in Food Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, starting in 2021.

In 2021, Akshay completed an online German language course sponsored by a DAAD Scholarship at Institut für Internationale Kommunikation e.V. (IIK Düsseldorf).

From 2018 to 2020, Akshay attended the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, where they earned a Master of Technology degree in Food Process Engineering.

Akshay holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Agricultural Engineering, which they obtained from Dr. Annasaheb Shinde College of Agriculture Engineering and Technology, MPKV, Rahuri. Akshay D. studied at this institution from 2014 to 2018.

In 2012, Akshay completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) at Shramik Junior College, Sangamner.

Before that, in 2011, they obtained their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from B. J. P. Sahyadri Vidyalaya, Sangamner.

Additionally, Akshay has obtained several certifications. In August 2020, they completed the "Introduction to Shelf Life Extension of Fruits and Controlled Atmosphere Storage" course from Alison. In the same month, they also obtained a certification in "Principles of Hygiene for the Food Processing Industry" from KROHNE Group.

In January 2020, Akshay earned a certification in "Volarization of Agri Waste for Energy and Nutrient Recovery" from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.

In October 2018, they participated in the "National Symposium on Food and Nutrition Security" at BUNDELKHAND INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, JHANSI. Akshay also completed a workshop on "Scholarly Publishing and Writing" conducted by ACS Publications in the same month.

Furthermore, Akshay holds an Elementary Drawing Grade Examination certification issued by the Government of Maharashtra (GoM). The exact month in which they obtained this certification is not provided, but it was in the year 2009.
