Rebecca Karner

Rebecca Karner is a data scientist at Athenium Analytics, where since July 2018, big data solutions have been provided to the insurance industry and other sectors. Prior to this role, Rebecca served as an Assistant Actuarial Analyst at Sun Life Financial from June 2014 to February 2018, focusing on Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing (DCAT) under various stress scenarios and implementing actuarial model adjustments using Aon’s PathWise software and Python. An internship at Sun Life Financial in 2013 involved automating year-end report preparation using VBA programming. Rebecca's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science and Business Studies from Bentley University, completed in 2014, where Rebecca also worked as a math tutor from 2011 to 2013.
