Tarun Mehta

Tarun Mehta is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Ather Energy. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Manager at Ashok Leyland from August 2012 to February 2013. Tarun has also interned at Mercedes Benz Research and Development, India from May 2010 to July 2010, where they worked on weight reduction of a passenger car diesel engine. In addition, Tarun interned at National Institute of Design from June 2009 to July 2009, where they researched on the topic of Open Innovation and how companies are using it in the market. Finally, they also interned at BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd) from January 2011 to June 2011, where they designed, prototyped and tested an apparatus for coal ash testing. Prior to their work experience, Tarun served as the Student President at C-TIDES, Entrepreneurship Cell IIT Madras from May 2009 to January 2011.

Tarun Mehta attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras where they completed a dual degree in engineering design.
