Al Mattox

Al Mattox has a diverse work experience history. As a Program Specialist at Oasis Center, they designed and executed educational workshops for 7th-12th graders, taught bicycle mechanics and leadership skills, and coordinated schedules and logistics. At Athletic Brewing Co., they worked as a Brand Ambassador. Al also founded Queer Spokes, a community-focused group that provided a safe space for queer adults to learn about bike mechanics. At Trek Bicycle, they worked as a Bike Assembler. Al was a Brewer and Sustainability Lead at Walker Brothers Beverage Co., where they managed sustainability initiatives and developed product lines. Al also worked as a Production Assistant at the same company. At ZAFA Wines, they served as an Assistant Winemaker and Vineyard Manager, overseeing cellar processes and managing administrative functions. Al worked as a Student Admissions Representative at the University of Vermont and as a Bartender at CO Cellars. Additionally, they gained experience as a Camp Counselor at CAMP MANITO-WISH YMCA.

Al Mattox attended The Prairie School from 2008 to 2016. In 2014, Al Mattox also briefly attended Conserve School. Later, from 2016 to 2020, Al Mattox studied at the University of Vermont and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. Additionally, in 2018, Al Mattox participated in a program offered by the Wild Rockies Field Institute, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this experience.
