Matt de Boer

Matt de Boer is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in athletics and business. As co-founder of Athletic Ventures since May 2020, Matt supports elite athletes in high-growth technology and consumer investments. Currently serving as Commissioner of the AFL, Matt has previously played for the GWS Giants and Fremantle Dockers while contributing as a leadership group member. A dedicated advocate for athlete rights through involvement with the AFL Players' Association, Matt's finance experience includes a funds management internship at Walsh & Company. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia, a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and ongoing studies in Disruptive Strategy at Harvard Business School Online.
