Ruben Smit

Ruben Smit is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in portfolio management and impact investing. Currently serving as PM Public Markets Credit at Athora Netherlands since June 2021, Smit previously held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager Fixed Income at ACTIAM N.V. from 2007 to June 2021, where Smit launched the ACTIAM EMD ESG Fund and managed multiple impact investing funds. Smit's earlier roles include senior positions at VIVAT, ING, and SNS REAAL, along with experience in policy analysis and economic research. Smit holds a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and has engaged in various research projects during internships at De Nederlandsche Bank and ABN AMRO Bank N.V.
