Amy Bonesteel Smith

Amy Bonesteel Smith is an accomplished writer with extensive experience in contributing to various publications. Currently serving as a contributing writer for Our State Magazine and Greenville Business Magazine since 2021, as well as a freelance contributor for Georgia Trend since 2017 and for Atlanta Magazine since 1994. Notably, Amy authored a significant historical book for the Cathedral of Christ the King in 2012. Prior experience includes a role as a contributing correspondent for Time Magazine from 1996 to 2009, where contributions included cover stories on diverse topics, and earlier work as a staff writer and copy editor for Creative Loafing Atlanta from 1989 to 1992. Academically, Amy holds an M.A. in English from Georgia State University and a B.A. in English and journalism from East Carolina University.
