Tanisha Banks

Tanisha Banks has over 21 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Their most recent position was as the Director of IT Applications at Atlanta Public Schools, where they started in March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior IT Program Manager at Atlanta Public Schools from February 2016 to March 2022. Before joining Atlanta Public Schools, Tanisha worked at DeKalb County Government, where they held the position of IS Applications Manager from November 2011 to January 2016. Tanisha also worked as a Program Analyst III - Project Manager at DeKalb County Government from January 2008 to November 2011. Earlier in their career, Tanisha worked as a Circulation Statistical Analyst at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution from December 2005 to January 2008, and as a Program Analyst II at DeKalb County Government from April 2000 to December 2005.

Tanisha Banks obtained a Diploma in 1995 from Cedar Grove High School. Tanisha then attended The University of Georgia from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, they enrolled at Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Computer Information Systems in 1999. Later, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the same university's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. In 2016, Tanisha obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma and PMP (Project Management Institute), and in 2018, they received an ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
