Gretchen Ehle

VP, Business Development & Operations at ATLANTIC COUNCIL OF THE UNITED STATES

Gretchen Ehle is vice president, business development and operations at the Atlantic Council responsible for strategic business development growth within the public sector. Gretchen is a non-profit executive with over 15 years of experience in foreign policy, international diplomacy, and global entrepreneurship. She brings a wealth of experience in federal government program management, operations, compliance, and business development.

Prior to joining the Council, Gretchen was the vice president for Global Programs at the Meridian International Center, quadrupling division revenue and tripling the staff during her tenure. Prior to that Gretchen worked with USAID’s Bureau for Global Health, as associate director for the Center of Science and Technology Policy at George Mason University, and helped to launch an academic journal entitled INNOVATIONS: Technology | Governance | Globalization published by MIT Press. Gretchen is ABD and received an M.A. from the Schar School of Public Policy and Government at George Mason University and holds a BA degree from The George Washington University in International Affairs. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Dupont Circle and has previously served on the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation and Junior League of Northern Virginia Board of Directors.
